BESPOKE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
All our programmes are designed bespoke to meet the needs of your organisation. Most of the people who come have “been there, done that, and got the T-shirt” when it comes to participating in leadership development programmes. One of the things they most love about what we do is how different it is. No jargon, no theory, just real learning, with the real self. It is not unusual for participants to write to us two or three years later to thank us for their learning which still endures.
Stand Alone Programmes
We design and deliver programmes for you which stand alone as a leadership development intervention. These can also be supported by face-to-face or remote coaching which we recommend, in order to ensure the assimilation and processing of learning.
Blended Learning Solutions
We are often approached to provide the experiential element of a blended learning solution, usually this would be a two day module within a longer programme, which might take place over a one or two week period, or comprise a number of modules spanning a year or more. The beauty of the Equest learning experience is that it offers the possibility for participants to gain a real, felt-sense of concepts which are difficult to understand or create at a purely cognitive level such as presence, embodied leadership, compassion, connection, energetic impact, and even communication. Leadership is not a theoretical entity which can be learned purely by understanding models and case-studies. It is an interpersonal and intrapersonal process which depends on the leader being able to inhabit their bodies, as well as their roles, and draw on the innate gifts which enable them to relate to others meaningfully. Working with our horses enables this integration of learning quickly and efficiently. In recent times we have collaborated with other providers including London Business School, Mission Performance, Nicola Lincoln Associates and Cargyll Consulting.
Much of what we think of as leadership is a felt experience that defies description in a classroom. Horse-led learning is by far the most effective way to understand and feel what it is like to connect through true partnership. Big changes happen when people are given permission to turn up as their true selves within the non-judgemental and accepting relationships with the horses. Emotional Intelligence is unlocked, the courage to be vulnerable and ultimately the power to lead differently within the workplace.
